Actual Knitting Content

Not sure why it has taken this long....

I've knit about 5 or 6 socks all of which have been frogged. Here's the first one I liked AND then knit one to match:

I was pleasantly surprised how matchy-matchy they are especially since I don't think I particularly tried to start at the same spot in the color repeat.
Pattern: Twinkle Toes by Cookie A as seen on Knitty Gritty
Yarn: Lavendar Sachet -- Sweet Feet Sock Yarn from Hill Country Yarns purchased from Discount Yarn Sale. As you can see I still have a goodly amount of yarn leftover.
Needles: Size 2 Crystal Palace Bamboo Double Points (I know, huge for socks)
Notes: I had to add a couple stitches between the "front" and "back" as they were too small otherwise. They are still a tad bit snug taking them on and off. Aside from the small amount of pooling from the instep increases, the yarn is lovely.

For my next project, I cast on for Ribby Cardi because I bought the yarn off Destash before it stopped existing (i.e. more than 6 months ago). I like it so far.

I believe I have enough yarn to make it a solid color, if not I'll probably make the contrast sleeves in a brown shade. The picture is too red, it's much more a deep maroon in real life.
