Serial Mom

Ben wanted to join me in the gym again today, so we played today much like yesterday. However, I haven't been running nearly enough recently for the 3rd day in a row not to hurt (hoping tomorrow will be better). But it was Sunday and not much of an excuse not to work out. I was going to elliptical or something else, but then I couldn't record any miles.....

So, a slow little 5 miles:

Only 3.2 miles left to go to reach my January goal of 30 miles.

I found Saved By the Bell on Channel 38 when I got on the treadmill (note you can download episodes from Amazon Unbox -- the whole season is only $15.99). It was followed by Serial Mom, the 1994 flick about a serial killing mother.

Despite the fabulous cast of Kathleen Turner, Sam Waterston, and Ricki Lake I decided I had to get off the treadmill and had other things to do. So far she had killed the son's math teacher and the daughter's (Ricki Lake) too-cool-for-school college crush.

Humorously Ben just told me I have blogged enough and that I am putting everyone else to shame.....

Juno

Since I started this blog we've seen at least 3 movies that I specifically haven't blogged about as didn't want to feel like I was stealing blog fodder from my better half. Since he hasn't blogged about any of them, and because I loved this move so much, I'm telling you about this one.

I have to say, it was a fabulous movie. One of the funniest I've seen in a long time, but also has a great story, too. I'm so glad we didn't miss this before it left the theaters. I'm likely not going to get a job as professional movie reviewer because I'm at a loss for words besides "it was great". Go see it. Go listen to the soundtrack for free at the Juno official website. Heck, Roger Ebert gave it a perfect 100. And what could I say that he didn't?

The film has no wrong scenes and no extra scenes, and flows like running water.
